Text messaging option added to My Ministry

Several people have requested the option to send a text message to their secretary rather than sending an email.  The new version of My Ministry has been submitted today with that feature.

A couple of minor UI tweaks were also included, some spacing and changing the highlight color of the switches to match the selected text colors.

Again I welcome any feedback and appreciate any reviews.

    I have other apps this app is very intuitive and simple, than I think.
    Many features are easy to use.
    However, there are critical bugs.
    Screen shot attached.
    I use the iPhone5s.
    Wife ues iPhone4s.
    My brother uses the iPhone4.

    However, all of our phones at the same bug.
    I want a quick fix.

      I apologize for the bugs you have encountered. I have not programmed My Ministry to support other calendars other than English unfortunately and therefore I didn’t see this bug.

      I am not sure what the issue is, and I will attempt to figure that out. However, I would ask you to send me a screen shot of the second tab. In that tab are you seeing any totals? Is it showing nulls?

      I am concerned that the linking of the days to the month may be incorrect and therefore a fix to the program will not solve your underlying data issue and might require you to uninstall and reinstall and re-enter the data.

      Apple is closed for app review starting this weekend, therefore I won’t likely get an update out before the new year.

      If you switch your phone to enlighten do the totals show?

      Again I apologize for the unanticipated issue. I will see what I can do to fix it.

      2. Thanks for that. I am working on a fix. I am hoping I can fix the data also so you won’t need to renter it. But I’m not 100% sure if that will be possible.

        I will post back when I have more information.

        Change the language to English
        Change the Region Format to United States
        And reboot

        But still has bugs.

      4. Yes. I think that is because the links created for the daily records aren’t set because of the initial calendar setting.

        I am going to work on fixing the link and will attempt to convert data affected this way.

        I’m curious, are you in the US?


      5. That’s what I thought. I didn’t release the app in that area. But I will see what I can do to fix the issue. I am hoping to have some time to focus tomorrow.

        What is your normal settings for language and calendar so I am able to mimic that on a test device.

        Thanks for your patience and help with this bug. I think I have found a solution to the issue at hand. I am able to see totals when I use Korea(South) as the international settings, with Gregorian calendar. I believe I will be able to perform a mini conversion on your existing records and save your orphaned data so you won’t need to re-enter it. However, I still need to do much testing on that to ensure I do not corrupt anyone’s data.

        I should have more time over the weekend to resolve the issue for you. But like I said, Apple is not taking app submissions for a while and that will delay an update.

        But I think I have it solved.

        I will post back when I can confirm whether your data can be salvaged.

        I have figured out how to prevent the orphaning of the dates and how to covert the data you have already entered. So when the update comes out, hopefully it will work perfectly.

      9. You are welcome. Apple is closed to submissions until the 28th. I should be completed with my testing by then and will submit is right away. From there it could take several days to be ready in the store.

      10. Hello, I have completed my testing on the fix for this issue and have installed the update on my local device. It all seems to be working quite well.

        Below is a link on what you should expect when the update arrives.


        As you can see, I was able to preserve the data, so you won’t need to uninstall and reinstall – the update should correct the issue as it launches. So you may see a slight delay on the initial load as it fixes the orphaned records.

        Please let me know how it goes, I am curious. Also – I would appreciate a review if you feel so inclined.

    2. And one more hope.
      Think that the appearance of the app icon.
      The color of the icon, but not too pretty.
      The color is not in harmony with the other apps.
      I have the app’s icon is no more invasive Color My first hope is great.
      (E.g. green, blue and white.)

      But this is my personal opinion.
      It seems too presumptuous.
